Integrated Piggery Development Project: This project has a pork processing plant at Nazira which is processing 100 pigs per shift and is under the process of upgradation as per FSSAI norms for commercial operation through PPP partners.
Other meat and poultry processing plants are under operation through Public Private Partnership with NEC food processing Pvt.Ltd. at Khanapara. This scheme incorporates production of hygienic meat for consumers under authorized slaughterhouses for the Guwahati Municipal Corporation Area.
