ALPCo provides on farm training facilities for the farmers which also includes exposure visit and demonstration facilities in the farm.There is a commercial Dairy Unit at Sonapur which provided training to near about 3600 farmers, 26 community service providers from Nagaland and Meghalaya and one Phd scholar from Guwahati University.Facilities for training and demonstration to hatchery operators also available. Training on new Japanese technology called Quail Farming is also imparted under ALPCos training programmes. Moreover the Employment Generation Scheme was initiated to give useful training to develope technical skills, financial literacy, soft skill, hand holdings etc.
The application for training is accepted by the Trainer in-charge of the Department and the farmers are selected if they fulfill the required minimum criteria and bank norms. After the selection, they are provided training on technical skill development, financial literacy, soft skill development etc.
The trainee should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria
He/she should own a minimum land area available for farming,
A bank account and minimum educational qualification.
